The Heart Behind Dough & Dialogue

Hi, I’m Esther, the baker, conversation enthusiast, and creator of Dough and Dialogue.

Baking has always been a part of my life. I grew up in a home filled with the scent of fresh pies, cookies and cakes, thanks to the talents of my mother. Our kitchen wasn’t just a place for meals—it was where we gathered, shared stories, and connected. That sense of warmth and togetherness has stayed with me, and it’s what I hope to bring to others through Dough and Dialogue.

Before launching this venture, I spent over a decade as a professional counselor, helping people navigate life’s challenges through deep and meaningful conversations. I spent years asking the hard questions that allowed people to connect to themselves and to others in a more powerful way. I’ve always believed in the power of connection, and now, I’m blending my two passions—baking and thoughtful dialogue—to create something special.

My love for learning (and pastries!) has taken me on incredible adventures, from local baking classes to hands-on experiences around the world. One of my most memorable moments was in Paris, where I learned the delicate art of making macarons. That experience reinforced what I already knew—food has a way of bringing people together, no matter where you are.

At home, I’m a wife and a mom  sharing my life with my husband, our two wonderful kids, and our two playful pups. Whether I’m kneading dough or crafting conversation starters, my goal is the same: to create something that brings people closer.

I hope Dough and Dialogue adds warmth to your table, one bite—and one conversation—at a time.
